Donald Trump may finally win over the NBA and its players with this move he is about to pull off. LiAngelo Ball the son of Lavar Ball and brother of Lonzo Bal is currenly being detained in China for shop lifting at a Louis Vuitton store in China. LiAngelo’s UCLA team was over there for a game against Georgia Tech. LiAngelo and 2 other players from the team Cody Riley, and Jalen Hill were accused of stealing glasses from the Louis Vuitton store.
It was reported by David Nakamura of the Washington Post on Monday that Trump has personally asked that Chinese President Xi Jinping step in and resolve the matter as swiftly as possible. According to the report, Chief of Staff John F. Kelly has been helping mitigate the repercussions that Ball, Riley, and Hill were likely to face while serving as an intermediary between the university and Chinese officials.
Currently LiAngelo and the 2 other UCLA players are being held at a Hangzhou hotel while they await the legal process to play out over a shoplifting charge.
