Hip Hop fans have been hotly anticipating Lil Wayne’s “The Carter V,” and they got to hear a clip of it on Friday (December 23) after controversial pharmaceutical executive Martin Shkreli leaked it online. The album has been tied up in a legal battle between Birdman and Lil Wayne for over a year, and Shkreli claims that it fell in his lap.
According to TMZ, Lil Wayne’s camp says the album Shkreli played is legit, and they added that the rapper is conducting an investigation to determine who leaked the album to Shkreli. Earlier this year, Birdman revealed that he’s never been in possession of Wayne’s unreleased album. The “Lollipop” rapper claims that he will release “The Carter V” when he gets over $10 million he feels he’s owed from Cash Money.
